I’ve come around to just feeling like it’s generally better than religion. Like I rather people have some goofy notions based on astrology, especially bc most people don’t take it seriously.
That said anyone who takes it seriously gives me the ick
It’s wayyyyy better than religion and it’s not even close. Even amongst those who take it seriously, there’s no political astrology trying to dictate how others live their lives. The worst discrimination it causes is “I don’t want to date you because you have the wrong birthday”.
Astrology is part of religion in some places where it is taken seriously and they use it as a tool to dictate how others should live their lives with rituals and an astrologist makes some of their important life decision on when something should be done, who they are allowed to marry and when, etc and there are probably politicans that use it for that purpose.
Still seems like a problem of religion rather than the practice of astrology in and of itself. You can politicise any otherwise innocuous practice and make it nefarious, but that’s the fault of the political actor rather than a failing of the practice in my opinion.
It sort of evolved together and is an actual part of the religion so it would differ from the western perspective (or anywhere where else without such a practice spanning back thousands of years) where it is innocuous.

Right? No one is going to war over gemini, just risking a happiness because a few bad relationships were coincidentally virgos.
