Thanks for the recommendations! I’ll add that to my list. Are you on goodreads? I love cataloging all the books I’ve read and want to read, especially since I often forget which ones I have read.
I used to. I haven’t used my account in years now.
I love story-rich games. Games like The Witcher 3, Skyrim, etc. Recently, I finished Hollow Knight. I cheated to actually be able play it. I wanted to experience the world and the story, but don’t want to deal with the difficulty.
Yaaa, I’m the same way. I wish more games had story mode. I was all about the infinite life, ammo, etc when I was a kid. I was playing Red Dead Redemption 2, eventually looked up the cheat codes, played for a few hours, and then realized I couldn’t save! You can’t save in RDR2 if you use cheat codes, I was so pissed! Now I’m playing Factorio with my brother and having a lot of fun.
RDR2 is an incredible game. Well worth a playthrough. You can use a program called WeMod to use cheats, and it won’t cause issues with no being able to save, etc.
The world it is set in is rather incredible. Of course, it is pretty difficult too, which is inline with the themes of the game. The world is dying and decaying and game is about trying to fix it.
Oh interesting, funny how popular those really hard games can be. Was it Dark Souls that everyone loved because it was so insanely difficult? Not for me. I even like dopey ftp games for my phone. It helps when you don’t have a long stretch to relax (I have a toddler) so you only get a few windows to poke a game here and there and then get back to chores, chasing the kid around, etc
I have 3 nephews. I can imagine what it must be like being a parent. I have seen my sisters dealing with their kids. It’s not easy.
Dark Souls is set in a rather interesting world, even if it is dying and decaying. However, I simply don’t have the patience for it. My life is already hard, as it is. I don’t need my games to be hard too.
I heard good things about Project Hail Mary. I will add it to my evergrowing TBR. :(
I loved this book called Tao The Watercourse Way by Alan Watts. It is a lovely intro to taoism.

What sort of video games do you like to play?

Oh hell yeah, thank you for the tip! I do enjoy the game but my only beef is how much following NPCs you have to do at the start of each mission.
I heard great things about Hollow Knight, especially all the buzz when it first came out. What makes it so unique as a 2D platform game?
