    Hm Realtek has a bit of a bad rep with FreeBSD, right at the top, but I think that problem is resolved by using a Linux distro instead.

    The power brick is not a good scenario for a $1000+ NAS.

    But it looks like a nice little unit otherwise.

      The power brick is a big miss I think. You don’t want a NAS to have any kind of “interesting” power options. Bog standard and easy to replace is the name of the game for a steady state device like that.

      Feels like they opted to reuse the power unit from one off their NUCs or something to save some money.
