TL;DW: Gamers Nexus was contacted by the U.S. Secret Service because of their investigation into Nvidia’s slow corruption. In this vid, Steve and crew dive into how Nvidia has been getting into bed with Palantir, the Trump admin, and the global elite that are fueling the AI bubble. Nvidia went from almost no political contributions ever, to donating a massive amount to the Trump/Vance ticket. And GN brought RECEIPTS.
More importantly, it looks like Gamers Nexus (no apostrophe) is crowdfunding the deeper investigation that they want to do.
I’m inclined to think contributing to this journalism would be worthwhile.
While I don’t doubt there are considerable skeletons in all these parties closets, I do doubt the GN guy.
GN chases down every possible ounce of rage bait and controversy without fail. A lot of the time it fizzles out or doesn’t stand up to any kind of real scrutiny. My fear is that they are more interested in ad revenue generating clicks than honest unbiased journalism.
We do need a network of publicly funded journalism organizations, but being reliant on google’s tit and under the jurisdiction of US law is probably not the way to do it.
GN’s last crowdfunded investigation into export-controlled GPU sales in China was a masterpiece of modern journalism. I have no doubt he wouldn’t fail to deliver here.
He blew the doors off of something we already knew was happening.
The sea of coreless and ram-less consumer GPUs is all over the second hand market in the US. We all knew those chips ended up in china. We all knew nvidia was seeking profits at any cost and chinese money is the white whale of many an MBA’s focus (before getting chased out by the party for not being chinese or owned by chinese anyway…)
It would be way more interesting to know if now after china said no more nvidia if the flow of chips is ongoing, but they probably won’t ever cover that.
You also won’t see too much critical of Google on their channel despite it being one of the biggest threats to privacy and safety, for obvious reasons. Can’t hurt the hand that feeds I guess.
“He blew the doors off of something we already knew was happening.”
Usually when an investigation blows the doors off of something, it’s because although many people were aware of what was happening inside, not enough did. Even if the primary gain is bringing awareness to an issue, investigative journalism like this is still important. After all, the doors were closed for a reason

Well this is a load of nonsense. You can see where they got funding for that investigation here. It was crowdfunded, after all.
As for the rest of your comment, “everyone knows something at a high level” is the dumbest reason not to do an investigative piece. It’s exactly that people only know it at a high level that investigating is important.
It would be way more interesting to know if now after china said no more nvidia if the flow of chips is ongoing, but they probably won’t ever cover that.
If you’re looking for another investigative piece as a follow-up to their previous one, then why don’t you email them directly? If you’re just complaining that there isn’t one, then can’t really help you there. The story of the GPU black market has already been told though, so the most they could probably really do is a hardware news segment if I had to guess.
Follow the advice of your own username if you have claims to make.
Found Linus Sebastian.
Oh no, someone is critical of GN! must be LTT!
That guy is dumb but very obviously a sellout lol.
Why do you suppose so many people are downvoting you?
If you’re seeing downvotes, it’s unlikely anyone on other instances can see them as well. Not sure how they federate, but Beehaw has them disabled, so they’re not on Beehaw.
Prove_your_argument
Maybe you could mention a few examples of times they got it wrong, what specifically they said that “didn’t stand up to scrutiny”, and how if at all they responded upon learning about it?
A lot of the time it fizzles out or doesn’t stand up to any kind of real scrutiny.
Which times, specifically?
Isn’t the secret service part of Trump’s admin? 🤔
The sentence is constructed ambiguously. A better version of that sentence is
Gamers Nexus was contacted by the U.S. Secret Service because of Gamers Nexus’ investigation into Nvidia’s slow corruption
The USCC contacted GN on behalf of the Trump administration, because they were upset at GN’s investigation.
Oof.
It’s red team for me now.
Given the topic, it’s better if you specify that you’re talking about AMD 😄
When the antichrists leading the formerly-free-world attempt to crucify Gaming Jesus we’ll know the end times have truly arrived.
