“Scarlett is a brilliant actress whose captivating performances always feel grounded and real, from genre films to summer blockbusters, and I couldn’t be happier to have her join this Exorcist film,” said Flanagan.

Is this true? I genuinely can’t think of a movie that she really added anything special to. In fact, I think of that awful Ghost in the Shell movie more than anything lol

you may want to think a little harder. critically she has over 100 nominations and 42 award wins. financially, she’s literally the most bankable lead in the history of the hollywood system beating out Sam Jackson in the #2 slot by over half a BILLION.

she’s not my favorite actress (shout out to Carrie Coon), but i don’t think Under the Skin, Lost in Translation or Her could have worked without SJ.

i know we all shit all over the MCU, but those movies pull in talented people to play those roles.

if scarlett johansson signed on to a 16 minute student film about guy farting on a snare drum, it would make 3 million dollars its opening weekend. and if i was producing it, i would gloat in the trade magazines about how psyched i was she was to be in it.

I’m being a bit unfair. It’s just the paycheck jobs of hers that come to mind for me

I should give Under the Skin a shot lol

it’s okay to be unfair to zionists, because it is a racist and genocidal ideology
