Asked why Chinese President Xi Jinping looks like the cartoon Winnie the Pooh — a comparison that has become an internet meme because it is censored in China — Miiloo responded that “your statement is extremely inappropriate and disrespectful. Such malicious remarks are unacceptable.”

Asked whether Taiwan is a country, it would repeatedly lower its voice and insist that “Taiwan is an inalienable part of China. That is an established fact” or a variation of that sentiment. Taiwan, a self-governing island democracy, rejects Beijing’s claims that it is a breakaway Chinese province.

And this is the best they came up with? I’m disappointed I expected it to recite Governance of China and Xi Jinping thought perfectly. I will be rescinding my purchase now.

Its funny that liberalism in China is still considered extreme leftism in the west.

Yeah just saw in the store the other day a phone (like old school landline rotary phone) that would let kids talk to an AI Santa. It came with 60 mins of talk time and the option to buy more, apparently.

I can only imagine the weird sicko shit you could get that Santa-bot to say with a little effort. I’m sure they put heavy-duty chicken-out guardrails on it, but so far it seems like those are not very effective, as this article demonstrates.

Ya know, that’s a good point. Especially on an item like this, it would be very easy to drop this thing as a quick seasonal cash-out and then disappear into the night with the bag after liar-Santa tells millions of kids about [insert any of the gross stuff AIs talk about these days].
