Mozilla Corporation has named its new CEO in replacing interim CEO Laura Chambers.

Anthony Enzor-DeMeo has been named the new CEO of Mozilla Corporation. Anthony Enzor-DeMeo was SVP of Firefox from 2004 to July 2005 and then from July until now was the GM of Firefox at Mozilla. He’s written a public message today in his first day serving as the new chief executive for Mozilla.

Third: Firefox will grow from a browser into a broader ecosystem of trusted software. Firefox will remain our anchor. It will evolve into a modern AI browser and support a portfolio of new and trusted software additions."

      They seemingly don’t care for their existing users, why would they donate? Also how much money goes into developing firefox and not another project of the day?

      Maybe people would like to donate if they did not promise to implement features their customer base hates?

        Things were still going “well” under Mitchell Baker (However, in 2022, for example, the salary was $7 million. ). In February 2024, there was a change of CEO and an announcement about the move towards AI etc. At that point, it was communicated that the company would continue in this direction. In addition, of course, there is the declining market share.

        But forget about donating… I got a little confused and that was for another huge project. With Mozilla, it was because of excessive salaries… So my mistake sry.

      Mozilla is not financially secure.

      Not while they pay their ever-changing string of CEO’s millions and their contributors… wait, do they even still have contributors?

      Says I, who’s been using nothing else for decades.
