    Renta 4 analyst Nuria Alvarez said consumer credit would be a key driver for Spanish banking profitability in 2026, alongside corporate lending, asset management and insurance.

    Good for banks?

    The whole article looks at consumer loans rather than the economy, and the Spanish data doesn’t look too good imo.

        the government is pretty leftist for eu standards, I doubt any socialist would consider them socialist, more like democratic socialists.

          These are empty labels, it’s a corrupted government imo. And the economic boom in Spain is non-existent if we look a bit closer, at least that’s what practically all economists say. The linked report makes its inference from a the consumer credits.
