Almost everyone i know is working this week and work itself is treating this as an inconvenience to productivity which is such an odd shift as businesses used to just close or soft close this time of year. I dont even care about Christmas itself but i liked it being a slow period but its not anymore. Anyone else noticing this shift? I suppose this has always been the case for retail workers there’s no such thing as a holiday for them. The only difference is white collar slimeballs see working more as badge of honour like the little asswipes they are

same here everyone is being worked right up until Christmas so instead of a slow week where everyone is easing into the holiday spirit everyone is instead being squeezed out of every last drop before employers are legally required to let them off for the weekend

the mildly silver lining to this though is that im noticing a bunch of my liberal “apolitical” friends slowly start to realize theyre wage slaves

one of my friends who works for one of the biggest companies in the world got a chocolate as a christmas gift from the company dean-frown

which means off of my vibes based analysis that consciousness is going up and space for me to introduce Lenin to these people is expanding

Same one of my friends who always bragged about working 12 hour days saying its necessary to get work done is realising hes burning his life away for nothing and is finally tired of it
