- The Grand Theft Auto Series
- Metal Gear Solid
- Assassin’s Creed III
- Resident Evil (I know the fourth one isn’t set in America but it’s about rescuing the President’s daughter, which is about as American as you can get)
- The Battlefield series
- CyberPunk 2077
- Wolfenstein: The New Colossus
- Mother 2
- Max Payne, Alan Wake, Control, all the games by those guys
- Hitman: Blood Money
- Deadly Premonition
- Mafia II
- Deus Ex: Human Revolution
- Contra
- Metal Wolf Chaos XD
- Mizzurna Falls
- Homefront: The Revolution
- Crysis II
- Expedition 33
- Yakuza
- Toad’s Turnpike
- Super Mario Odyssey (City Level)
I’m sick of all these European fantasy games like Skyrim or games about the Middle East like Call of Duty.

homefront: the revolution was neat. bold game design choice to have you play as the villains.
The first Homefront has a scene where you press F to hide in a mass grave at a White Castle parking lot, truly American.
i’m not certain that this isn’t a joke and that’s a wonderful feeling
I got it wrong, the ”press E to jump in a mass grave” scene isn’t at a White Castle. You do have a firefight at a White Castle though, so it’s still very American. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Z-kTBvfO1Pk

Homefront: The Revolution is an Underrated Gem that is Worth Playing In 2026 because it’s based on the terrifying premise of what if The US experienced 1% of what they do overseas everyday. Truly a Modern Masterpiece in Survival Horror.
isn’t it that one where North Korea invades America?
yeah
