“We had to make it harder for people to access preventative healthcare, it’s just too wasteful!”

We’re letting those preventable issues turn into real issues that put a constant strain on what precious little healthcare resources we do have, and it results in people dying in waiting rooms. I’m not sure how that’s less wasteful.

But hey, this a just another instance of conservatives doing and saying anything to wrest the healthcare system out of the public’s hands.

From a business standpoint it makes perfect sense, any money the government invests into preventative medicine now, is money they miss out on from treating the symptoms once healthcare is privatized.

Thankfully I managed to get mine without the fee in a different province. The nice lady just called me Fat and signed it off 😔

If Alberta just charged a 5% pst like most other provinces they would have a balanced budget and be back to being a “have” province.

Then they wouldnt have to do all this stupid crap like trying to privatize their healthcare system desperately trying to balance the books.

I feel bad for the innocents, but whoever chooses to roll these dice and is unlucky, well maybe the gene pool is just better off.

It’s a great way to weed out ignorant and empathy-less people.
