There has been plenty of evidence for hundreds of cases of them committing crimes. That hasnt changed anything. Yes it would be good if they stopped wearing masks, but even if they did it would not change anything at all.
It would, in the moment. It is psychologically empowering to them, at least before it becomes stale, but they’d now resist any advance towards unmasking them as this would make them feel naked and vulnerable for a period of time. This affects their decision making, their arrogance.
The anonimity breeds extremist behaviour, because there isn’t evidence to sweep under the rug to start with. See also: the internet ;)
