A broad coalition of 47 anti-LGBTQ+ organizations announced this week the launch of a campaign to end marriage equality in the U.S.
As People for the American Way’s Right Wing Watch reports, the coalition announced their explicitly anti-equality “Greater Than” campaign on Wednesday via the Heritage Foundation’s The Daily Signal.
The campaign’s core principle is that the sole purpose of marriage is to raise children and that the constitutional right of same-sex couples to legally marry in the U.S., as established by the Supreme Court’s 2015 decision in Obergefell v. Hodges, violates children’s rights.
Yes! Once again, a demonstration of the extractive rapacious rent-seeking death cult taking so much from the populace that they cannot propagate, and yet… And YET… They’re so cynical and intent on desperately gaslighting everyone they can into believing people’s problems are the fault of the boogyman of the day.
There’s no population growth because of the gays… As if that impacts my (cicshet) choice whether or not to have children… Certainly not because you need 3 exploitative jobs just to pay rent!
Oh, so you think you’re not getting paid enough? It’s the immigrants driving down your wage! Certainly nothing to do with them actively driving wage stagnation during record “record profits”! (Also read “stolen wages”)
Can’t afford healthcare? It’s the poors’ fault, always going to the ER for colds… Certainly nothing to do with a complete inaccessibility to basic healthcare, caused by the Republican ghouls! They should’ve pulled themselves up by their bootstraps and gotten jobs with insurance! … If you can’t pay, you don’t deserve to live, apparently.
But no, in truth, the reason is singular; that this would all cost money, and our lives are worth less than their record profits.
