Cory Doctorow’s proposal about removing DMCA-like anti-circumvention laws and letting the rest of the world design and distribute jailbreaks for all digital devices would be a great start. Removing anti-circumvention is such a good idea, such an easy slam-dunk win… which is why I’m convinced the EU will be the last place to rescind the laws.
