So if you really love me
Say yes
And if you don’t, dear
Confess.
And don’t just tell me
Spahrep, spahrep, spahrep.
Sorry to say we aren’t

I sure hope not
∃ world : WorstPossible(world)

I think not, because I can imagine many ways in which this world or reality would be better. That said, the spooky element is “what if something bad from this reality had to happen to lead to really good stuff in the future?”
E.g
- Maybe this is the only combination of events where humans prevent extinctionnvia climate change
- Maybe this is the only combination where
- Maybe this is the only/ one of the few realities where we haven’t ALREADY died from nuclear armegeddon - thinking about the russian submariner who refused to fire, for instance.
It is clear, that things cannot be otherwise than they are, for since everything is made to serve an end, everything necessarily serves the best end.
Observe: noses were made to support spectacles, hence we have spectacles. Legs, as anyone can plainly see, were made to be breeched, and so we have breeches. . . .
Consequently, those who say everything is well are uttering mere stupidities; they should say everything is for the best.
