There sure have been a lot of posts on lemmy about Rochester recently.
Did you know it’s also the current residence of the author of Mickey 7 (inspiration for the movie Mickey 17 as well as, presumably, a fairly prolific lemmy poster)? That author also grew up about an hour from where I did.
(I learned this from the “about” section in one of his books so I don’t feel it’s inappropriate to share.)

I also have been surprised by all the posts esp. how dead the community is here. As a transplant I love the lore!
