The reason medabots never caught on is that fighting robot tech is still today not advanced enough to have good fighting robot toys to play with.
We did severely miss out on a good Medabots figure game to play like Beyblade had

See. I know they kept trying to make increasingly complicated fighting action figures. It seems like the tech could have been there you know. Maybe it wasn’t scaleable
