Oh wow, you are (generally) right. Of course, it depends on beans and conditions, but some farmers even add nitrogen fertilizers to the beans :O

The entire plant contains nitrogen, so you can take the beans and till the rest back in and it should still be net positive, I think. I’m not a botanist.
