At least they climbed to the top and met her on the otherside 😎

I find it frustrating that if I choose to use Madeleine as my name (it’s a family name), every trans girl is going to assume I chose it because of Celeste.

ahaaaaa! Okay i see now what confused me:

        Time frame.

She KNOWS now but i forgot about the time prior to her knowing. Especially because we are referring to her with what her name turned out to be instead of the deadname that was being used back before she found out since even though it’s a reference to the past when she was still using the deadname it’d still be a dick move to refer to her that way.

In other words i was only confused because it sounded like the context was after she already got to know herself at which point the prime directive would no longer apply (therefore i thought it must’ve been some other prime directive)

Basically, and it basically has the same problems. It’s more a good idea to follow because you can fuck things up than because the egg won’t be able to handle it. You could be wrong about them being an egg. You can push them further into the closet by feeling like the choice isn’t their own. It’s better to give them knowledge about being trans by talking about your own experiences than by trying to decide for them. Let them see what’s possible.
