A better social network
Hey.Café is a social network designed to be easy to use. When you join, you can create new conversations and join communities called cafés based on your interests. We are free to use with no ads, no trackers, and built in Canada.
Don’t know anything about it. Looks maybe like a facebook analog. Saw it mentioned on Mastodon
There is Friendica that is an alternative to Facebook.
Personally, if it’s not federated and decentralized, it’s hard for me to take it seriously. I’m totally okay with new social networks, but if it can’t talk to other servers, what’s the point?
“We are sorry, but according to our records, you are located in a country with a social media ban law, and we have had to network-level block the country from signing up. You can learn more about this by viewing our support article. If you think this was a mistake please send us a ticket.”
This feels like a product nobody needs or wants. I can’t even open the link on mobile Firefox to see what additional value the service is proposing as opposed to not using Facebook or any of its social media clones.
it has users, clearly somebody wants it
That’s odd, no problem opening it with Ironfox.
Maybe AdGuard is acting up!
