It is an open-source alternative to Google Play Integrity. This proprietary interface decides on Android smartphones with Google Play services whether banking, government, or wallet apps are allowed to run on a smartphone.



This sounds promising, but I fear will need government enforcement.
For example, grapheneOS provides it’s own attestation, but few apps actually uses it, as it would require the developers to make some (minimal) changes to their code.

Ah, true - but each application (ie: your banking app) would need to be updated to recognize graphene’s attestation keys.
