Hi!

I have been using Mint since November and feel pretty used to it, but I do miss wallpaper engine from Windows and there does not seem to be an equivalent, analogue, or alternative to it…

…Right?

Do you realize most of us use Linux? We have no idea what you mean by “Wallpaper engine from Windows”.

What behavior are you looking to replicate? I am pretty sure there are plenty of utilities that could help depending on what you are looking for

Start by buying the Steam version of Wallpaper Engine … https://www.google.com/search?q=linux-wallpaperengine+mint

… basically, you can run the Windows version of Wallpaper Engine on Linux, however, the best choice for you as to how to go about it, or whether you need wallpaper-engine to do what you want at all, is going to vary by your Desktop Environment and with what you are actually trying to accomplish. There is wallpaper-engine-kde-plugin (for KDE Plasma), for example.

Yes, there are other apps for video-wallpapers or using cloud wallpaper services on Linux, but again, what you need to get what you want depends on what exactly what you want from your wallpaper.
