What can you do as ship crew when your boss decides to do put your life at risk like that? I know almost nothing about sailors except that they get exploited excessively. Do they have an option to refuse to come with, or are they not allowed to leave the ship in a foreign country?
It’s kind of sad that there are captains willing to risk the lives of their crew, indeed sacrificing their crew, in the name of profit.

In many (most?) cases they are not allowed to leave the vessel in foreign countries.
Generally they’re not allowed to disembark. Shit is beyond fucked
