I’m sorry but Silicon Vallley had plenty of nihilistic billionaire assholes, at least one of whom had a blood boy

The whole point of the show was a bunch of quirked up poor boys outcompeting the piece of shit billionaire and accidentally unleashing AM.

Can we just make shows that don’t focus on billionaires instead? They’re unlikeable as nihilists and unrealistic as quirky go-getters. Just get rid of them and make shows about decent people instead.

Hell, maybe make some shows about heroic working class people triumphing over rich assholes instead.

Make a show where a bunch of ecoterrorists foil a land developers plans to bulldoze a forest and make him go “GOOD HEAVENS!” while his bow tie spins and his monocle falls out. Good shit. Too bad the entertainment industry is full of COWARDS and we’re all apparently too mature and cool to have stories where good things happen for once.

Make shows about people who can’t really do shit because they’re constantly having to work just to barely survive! Something 99% of the world can relate to!

OK but can they at least have a subplot where they unionize for better working conditions so it isn’t completely depressing?

studio notes: what if instead the unionization actually made their lives worse?

In my memory that was basically Captain Planet, my cohort grew up on that and they wonder why we are radicals.

They did not pay attention because silicon valley is pretty critical of the people working there.
