not trying to be that guy, but the graph for x² = y is technically wrong, right?

Technically it could be whatever, it’s unknowable because the axis aren’t labeled in the original. By convention +y is usually up when graphing lines though. Godot has an X to the right and Y down coordinate system however, as well as apparently html and a lot of image editors
I guess they did show for SpaceY an image of a rocket launching upwards, so that does suggest a Y up coordinate system relative to the screen. And it would normally be assumed that all images would have the same axis orientation
this special came from a folder i copied off of someones hard drive (its a long story), but you are right.
here is a more “correct” version, that also has the debris flying to the correct side of the screen :)

squinting to make sure this isn’t also loss
The last ones also known as Space oh fuck!
I’ve seen some pretty good cosine waves made from model rocket launches
people using Z for the up direction: >:(
(i personally like Y for up, despite using blender a bunch)
This is why I have a bad habit of making my blender stuff in top view
i always prefered y for up/down, and x and z for others. probably because i learned coordinates through minecraft
Yeah I’m also more of a Y-for-up-person, but I’m fine with either as long as you don’t use a left-hand-system
Kevin SpaceY
Explosion: spaxe x/0
So much in that excellent formula
Ok now do spacetanx
you’re welcome
Unexpected to get Musk memes on a transpositive server
I know. I want to edit this meme to say something about the bullshit, but I decided to stop studying math years ago and am woefully unprepared to make a competent math joke. My guess would be something involving Kesler syndrome and exponentially cascading space debris, but I don’t know what would describe that mathematically. Some sort of Markov chain to describe a cascading chain reaction?
I think exponential growth would say enough already, if it’s like x = number of spaceX satellites, y = amount of space debris.
You’re right, that would work!
