Complaining about tofu being bland is the equivalent of saying that a blank canvas is boring.
Saying you hate tofu is such a self own. It is one of and maybe the most versatile food of all time. It is cheap. It’s macros are at parity with chicken breast. It keeps well AND is much safer (food safety and healthwise) than meat.
I can confirm as someone going from eating meat with every meal to vegan, basic ass fried tofu tastes better than most restaurant meat these days.
What is even wilder is that the US grows a lot of soybeans, and the ideal target for MAGA would probably be a soybean farmer.


Most meat taste like ass if you don’t marinate or season it at all too.
Im still struggling with the texture of the tofu, but that’s definitely user error. I can nail a flavor just as good as i could with seasoning any other protein for a meal.
cut it up however you’d like (cubed works best) and boil it for 10-15 minutes in heavily salted water, then set it aside in a strainer or on some paper towels for a few
improves the texture immensely, no fucking around with pressing or remembering to freeze/thaw it beforehand
Tofu isnt the only game in town either. I fucking LOVE tempeh and seitan is equally open ended but from a different angle and you can make big giant loafs
This is sacrilege because you are supposed to retain the shape of tofu but fuck tradition. If you like fried rice get extra firm tofu, scramble it in some spices and oil then throw it in your fried rice as it cooks. Its basically egg fried rice 10/10

Soaking in some apple cider vinegar pre brine for maximim effect. It makes ir a 2 day double soak but it is super worth it
Getting super firm or freezing, pressing, etc can get it to meat like consistency.
