All of the car makers are making big money by selling your telematics data, so insurance companies can charge you more: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/11/technology/carmakers-driver-tracking-insurance.html and then there is this: https://www.newsweek.com/ice-buying-americans-location-data-under-scrutiny-11627381 Unfortunately, the Leaf doesn’t really know the SIM is removed, so it still asks me every month. But fortunately, now it doesn’t matter what I answer 🙂

No, I wasn’t even thinking about remote bricking when I did it.
