Hello everyone. I hope everything has been going okay. This week I continued my Western Roman Empire campaign in Total War Attila. The Huns have been defeated, the interior of the empire is secure, and all that remains is uniting the eastern half of the empire. Easier said than done
Been playing too much Marathon and damn, I’m gonna be pretty sad if it shuts down anytime soon. Haven’t gotten super into a competitive game in years but this one just clicked. Mostly been playing trios with strangers and the average person is… pretty normal? Only had a couple toxic people and way more that were friendly/helpful.
Also back on Kerbal Space Program after Artemis II got it in my head. Despite playing the game quite a bit I’ve rarely gone further than Kerbin’s moons, want to try sticking with it longer.
The stardew has continued, as has slay the spire 2.
I’ve been playing a bunch of arcade and early console classics too see how they work for my own game collection I’m making. Started with pong, asteroids, and galaga, and today I’m playing yar’s revenge, combat (tank mode and biplane mode), tempest, space wars, sea wolf, Kaboom!..
I got recommended a game called “firing range” by an ai but it didn’t say what console or year it came out and that name is so generic I haven’t been able to figure out if it’s real lmao.
Metro Exodus.
Game’s a buggy mess that frequently crashes, but (so far) lacks the persistent stench of centrism that previous entries had. Got to a sneaky bit that can’t be solved with my patented “run around and punch everyone” technique, so a change of tactics is required.
playing a bunch of animal crossing new horizons atm. i’m just planting lots of mums and amiibo-ing in my original villagers from my childhood new leaf town.
I have made the mistake of buying Stellaris in the current GOG sale and now I’m completely addicted

I bought the Starter Edition that comes with Utopia and Synthetic Dawn, but I’m not giving more money to Paradox both because I don’t have it and because their business model is just shit, I’m not paying a gajillion bucks for your DLCs bro, just incorporate a bunch of them into the main game ffs, so I
them yesterday lol. I have also pirated the whole of Victoria 3 but I’m not touching that right now that’s for sure.I started my first run/match/playthrough, whatever you call it on this game, before doing that and it’s been super fun. I don’t know what I’m doing tho, lol. I decided to use the premade United Nations of Earth empire to start and I only have Utopia and Synthetic Dawn enabled since that’s what I started this one with. I left everything default when choosing the difficulty and modifiers, and currently I’m the 3rd biggest empire in the galaxy, but the two above me are Fallen Empires that are much more powerful.
Detailed description of my run if you're interested
I’m like ~165 years into the run and I managed to be peaceful so far, to the point where I only really battled once against some pirates lol. The last 2 days I have been mostly trying to fix my economy since my Energy and Minerals fluctuates from surplus to deficit every month and I clearly need more Unity production since stuff is getting expensive really fast.
Other than that I have a federation with some peaceful religious zealots and some guys that were hostile to me until recently. I also have 2 vassals that I give almost total freedom to just do whatever they want, I didn’t ask them to become vassals, they just asked me a long time ago when my military power became greater then theirs. One of them is to the south of my empire and they are a cool reptile, kinda dragon-like creatures, the other is a frog looking creature to the north that were enslaved by the hostile avian overlords and that liberated themselves.
One issue I have since the start is that I spawned sandwiched between the hostile avians on the north, the religious dudes in the south and a fallen empire to the east, so my empire is rather small. Also the Earth is literally at the border with the avians.
If someone have good videos for beginners please send me, that would help a lot. I have mostly been relying on googling and using Kimi for help, but the AI is inevitably gonna hallucinate even if it has been helpful so far.
I thought this was a pretty good guide since its mostly true regardless of the version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjRmKwikk4w&t=1s I assume you are playing the game on version 4.3
If you have any questions feel free to ask. Im not the greatest stellaris player but I have over 700h in Stellaris and have been playing the game since its release in 2016.
Yeah I’m on v4.3, I actually started that video yesterday but it was super late so I fell asleep lol, but I’ll watch it now, thanks, if you have any other resources I’d appreciate it.
I actually have a question. There’s 2 systems I have that are blinking orange but I can’t research them, when I zoom in it says it’s two infertile planets (don’t know if that is how it’s called in English, I’m playing in Portuguese), and there isn’t anything about it in the F1 menu, what can I do which these?
You dont mean dead or tomb worlds right ? Cause you cant settle those. Its possible to terraform some planet types later and make them habitable if you have the tech for it. But the game usally tells you about those. (At least last time when I played which has been a while)
Just checked by launching the game in english, it’s a Barren world. The game has told me about terraforming because I think there’s a few worlds I can do that, but at least these ones I can’t and there isn’t anything else telling me what to do with them for now.
Oh yeah I vaguley remember you cant do much or use barren worlds.
I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
my wife got a bunch of rare jrpgs for the switch, and also final fantasy 7 and 8. ff7 is special to me, but i’ve never really played 8. I suspect she got them so she can watch me play both of them.
In ds1 play through, im trying to take kalameet’s tail for the love of the game. Apparently this is one of the hardest things to do. I have pretty much given up at this point, just plan on taking him down now. I think I have hit the tail one time during all attempts; I know how to bait him, lining up the shot is just quite tricky. Fighting him feels like you’re surfing on a mechanical bull
nevermind I got it lmaaaooooo hahahahaja yesss

I said fuck it and put on the witch robe, red gloves, +9 hollow soldier legs, mother hat, and used a +14 murakumo + dark wood grain ring
I started Metroid Fusion the other day. I can see why people complain about the hand-holding, it really lays it on thick. Everything else about the game is great so far! The atmosphere is awesome, I like the X and how they bind on to enemies, the movement and combat feels great, but I knew it would since I’ve already played Zero Mission. Boss fights are great. The story seems like it will get pretty interesting, I’m enjoying the premise. The only thing is I wish it would relax some about telling me exactly where to go and what to do.
Back to Valheim again. 'bout to feed Moder several hundred obsidian arrows.
Im painting and reading. Will probably return to gaming with the upcoming Vicky 3 Navy expansion.
Thanks for making these threads
what’re you painting? :o

Playing Diablo 2 still, moved onto nightmare with my hammerdin. I might pick Ragnarok Online back up later this week.
I’m playing Aethus, it’s a single player isometric survival crafter with a story made by a single dev as a passion project (I think). It’s been pretty fun, scifi setting with megacorp dystopia backdrop though this doesn’t give downer vibes since you’re screwing off exploring a prospecting claim your grandfather told you about on some undeveloped world.
Still doin’ TOTK, I guess. It’s going to be a long time before I beat it. I’m using a spoiler-free guide from GameFAQs that mostly just gives you a list of basic tasks (Korok seed, Quest start, shrine, etc.) with coordinates and little maps, though I printed out a map that has a coordinates grid superimposed on it and I find that combo really helps make it feel less like busy work and I’m still actively engaged with the game, looking around the world, etc. Not just blasting through it, mostly. But it’s like 40 hours in and I’ve done maybe 1/5 of the game so far. I’m pretty sure I beat BOTW at a faster pace and I didn’t even use a guide for that one (although I didn’t do all the korok seeds in that).
I’ve started watching Patlabor so I want to play a game with mechs soon, but I can’t decide since there are so many. I know there’s a translated Patlabor game on Genesis, but it seems to be an adventure game and not a very good one at that. Considering Ring Of Red on PS2 or maybe starting the Front Mission series or something.
