Bro… we know. That’s the joke. 🙂 She finds a way to make it smooth, but there’s no particular reason to spend a decent chunk of two whole separate pages of this fairly short letter just randomly talking about sexual abuse and serial rape, specifically going back to the 1990s and specifically the idea of letting it go unprosecuted and what a bad thing that would be.

It’s smooth, but it’s extremely specific.

I read the whole thing, it’s brilliant.

I half expected an aside of “And I will strike down upon thee With great vengeance and furious anger Those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers…”

Usually someone would use a person’s own words against them as a final argument; a final slap in the face. Willis gets that out of the way on page 1 and goes on to bury the man.

Yah man. First is a reply on a legal basis, then she explicitly says “I was well within my legal rights to just throw this thing in the trash, but I feel it’s useful to reply, so I did. Now that we’ve got the legal business squared away, this part is addressed to you on a more personal level.” Then it gets un-legal, and ends by referring him to exhibits F through O.

I mean, in the grand scheme I do feel like actions are more important than letters. But she’s also taking some incredibly ballsy and wonderful actions, and this letter in addition is a fucking masterpiece.

I also felt the exhibits were included in a specific quantity and order that left a big F O in the middle of that section. I love how she gives him a list of actually useful things Congress could do instead, gives him a lesson on what attorneys actually do, & references rapists and serial rapists (what else comes up if you Google Willis’ letter contents? Probably stuff about Ohio State, or eventually will when the crawlers index it).

I ended up reading the whole thing, because it was so damn good to hear someone tell him to shut the fuck up, professionally.

That was a good read, it’s a shame jordon doesn’t actually care. He just wants the five second sound bite on Fox where he looks like he’s doing something to suck the orange deities mushroom.

    He’s just a lapdog.

Yeah, agreed. Fortunately Willis is also working on putting actual physical people in actual physical prison, in addition to writing maybe-inconsequential letters to respond to other inconsequential letters.
