American service members will no longer be required to get a yearly flu shot under a new Defense Department policy described by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth as an effort to “restore freedom and strength to our joint force.”

Calling the Covid-19 vaccine mandate part of an “era of betrayal” that was now “over,” Hegseth said the Pentagon was discarding “absurd, overreaching mandates that only weaken our war fighting capabilities,” such as “the universal flu vaccine and the mandate behind it.”

What stage of imperial decline is this?

And you know what? The ‘brave warriors’ in the military shouldn’t have food either. Food has made them weak and dependent. They will become strong and unstoppable once they are no longer being emasculated by the need for food.

What is the point of putting Burger Kings and McDonalds on military bases if we also have to provide meals for free? This is unfair to the brave franchise owners.

Let the market resolve the issue. Tell troops they are now empowered to make their own decisions about what they will eat every night. No more handouts encouraging sloth and infantilizing our brave warriors!

You see what they’re eating in the navy now? Or that they’re rolling out changes in how much they subsidize soldiers eating on base? Nobody is making it harder to be a US soldier than the USA
