Kind of unrelated to this post, but one time I had an argument on another platform about whether the other guy was a nazi or not. They said “I do believe in a lot of the things they believed in and think they were in the right most of the time but they were just too violent. That doesnt make me a nazi (shrug keyboard emoji)”
I blocked them immediately but sometimes I wonder what the hell was going through their head
Yeah thats what I’m thinking too. And you know, terrible ideas have been intentionally spread online simply to get people to agree with them before. Just take a look at gamergate (gaming communities used to be some of the most inclusive and open minded online spaces before gamergate)
