How can people use #YouTube without @ublockorigin or paying for it?
I just tried to watch an assay via Tor Browser. 5 minutes 20 seconds into the video I had to view 2 pre video advertisements and 2 advertisements after 2 minutes 30 seconds and 2 advertisements after 5 minutes.
Now I do not want to watch YouTube anymore. I feel that I watched as many minutes/seconds advertisements as I watched wanted content.
@umbrella I wouldn’t think it’s a filter issue? The video works fine other than regularly not having enough buffer to keep playing.
as i said, google breaks them sometimes, and this is exactly how it usually looks like. update them and try it out.
@umbrella Huh. Hadn’t ever looked that deep into UO yet, install it and it does its thing… Found the button to force updates, I’ll try that next time.
yes. since you are there, look into enabling the “cookie notices” and “annoyances” filters, they are pretty great too over the stock ones!
