    Nah, it’ll mostly impact the poor. I think most people behind on child support are behind because they can’t afford to keep up with child support. It’s really hard to get it adjusted after it’s set and if you have a change in financial situation then you might just be fucked.

      Also most poor people, who are behind, cannot afford to travel to places that need a passport

        Except if you live in a border city like El Paso or San Diego. Tons of poor people in those cities who might go over the border for things like dental care or pharmaceuticals

            If you’re coming from the US you definitely do. There’s also lots of ways that someone poor might afford to travel abroad, either by necessity, for work, or by someone else paying for it.

            Any policy that disproportionately negatively impacts the poor is a bad one, full stop
