I agree basically. But that’s still based on something that is coming from within.

Although there are certainly ways to signal something by accident. I have clothing that I don’t view as my style, because they are hand-me-downs or random gifts. They can still send signals, but they can’t be based on anything inside because I didn’t choose them. An outside observer can’t know that I don’t view them as part of my style and only wear them because they exist.
