German battery manufacturer Varta will cut 350 jobs and ‌stop production of button cells in the southern town of Noerdlingen

Varta’s Noerdlingen plant almost exclusively produces rechargeable ⁠CoinPower button cells for Apple’s AirPods. These will be supplied ⁠by a Chinese supplier in the future, a ⁠source said.
