Will these trees not outgrow the small cubicals they are in?
No. This concept was first used in Italy over 40 years ago. They choose the appropriate trees.
Some trees only grow a few feet tall. I remember when I was a kid, my mother planted a few such small trees when we moved into a house with a yard.
Depends on what they are.
You can always prune them back too
Just imagining some high stress branch training and you got branches dangling 10 stories
Felt the need to share w/ my family. Amazing!
I wonder what the floor plan looks like.
lmao, funny enough, after someone insisted on finding the address, I actually came across some floor plans in the process.

That looks very nice, and also stupid expensive

I think “forest” is a bit of a reach.Seems like proof of concept, where they’d want. A cluster of these on a block to add green to horizon. Not sure how well they’d grow, particularly on the lower floors, if neighboring buildings are blocking sunlight. And add grow lamps would be a huge energy hog.
From the article it appears that most of the buildings will be more terraced, which would make sense.
They build something like that in Copenhagen in 2008, though it’s just 11 stories tall.
It’s situated in between other tall buildings.

Except it’s not real.
You sure? It seems legitimate, as seen by the link and the architect’s own page, and it seems to be similar to the architect’s other projects
If it’s real, it has an address. That can be looked up in an Apple or Google Maps.
Find the address, or it’s not real.
After considerable struggle, since listing all addresses in fucking China is not high on the list of Anglophone internet service priorities, and as if to fucking emphasize this, the entire fucking Google Map of Huanggang being incredibly off-center, and most locations not having any fucking address listed, I spent far too fucking much of my time to cross-reference sources, searching in fucking Chinese (which I do not speak), and locate the exact position of the complex through Baidu’s map service as Juran Home Vertical Forest City Complex, No. 88 Shengli Street, Huangzhou District, Huanggang City, Hubei Province.
There’s even a photo gallery of mundane, non-gorgeous angles

Is that enough to quell your arbitrary skepticism despite similar projects being already established as extant and multiple sources being provided?
I found it. 30.450374, 114.873947
Spite is thé strongest motoe for humans.
China, Hubei, Huanggang, Huangzhou District, 99, 东南方向40米 邮政编码: 438000 https://maps.app.goo.gl/rPQHRm2eZPfYFfaJ8
That’s the wrong address. Map shows nothing. Lazy google man.
However, I did find it. And therefore I was wrong.

Hahahahahahahaha ! Thanks for that
