Propaganda piece
This appears to be the report they’re referencing. Tho the bloomberg article is just some Jackass name Francis’ opinion anyways.
IMO propaganda aside, there is a kernel of truth to this that’s been an ongoing problem for a while. That being, Canada is better at educating than providing opportunities for the educated.
Lol! Wut? I call horseshit on this. This is exactly the opposite of what every other economic analyst is saying. Canada isn’t doing great, but STEM growth is effectively dead in the US right now, thanks to Trump’s political and economic agendas. Not to mention that they’re tightening up on all of their visa requirements for all non-white immigrants.
The only reason why the US might “appear” to be drawing Canadians, is because most of the STEM graduates already in the US have been fleeing the country, leaving a ton of positions open…for the moment. But, given the fact that most industries are shrinking down there right now, those jobs are also quickly disappearing. Anyone looking for greener pastures down South are going to find themselves stranded soon enough.
As workers in the US are getting deported daily…
WTF?!
As a Canadian who recently moved back to Canada from the US, I’m gonna throw my anecdotal evidence around and say this is horseshit. Even my tax person has said she’s never seen so many returning Canadians in her decades of work.
