    Yes, Galati is close to the border.
    But its easternmost residential building is still 17km away from the closest possible military target in Ukraine (freight rail yard in Reni).
    That’s not a distance a drone (or even a WW2-era night bomber) would miss by. Looks intentional, to strike both EU and NATO with semi-plausible deniability, and test their response threshold.
