I get nervous about travelling with my meds so I just go off for a while when I need to crossed borders. People with me get to enjoy the full experience. I don’t think that approach works for everyone though.
Pain medication are a different situation and also risky.
I accidentally trafficked opiates across a boarder once, years later I would find out I accidentally trafficked other controlled substances across boarders on different occasions. I could not go without my medications, even if I tried I would be a very angry person in so much pain, you are lucky that you can do without.
