Watching a bunch of jokers run around on a field getting paid absurd wads of cash for our entertainment while garbage is being peddled to us is pretty much the definition of “Bread and circuses.”
I get asked a lot why i don’t watch football. And i keep telling them that i don’t watch millionaires chasing a ball. It’s boring to me. I don’t understand how people find any joy watching it. But i’m still the weird one, because i don’t like football
I think it’s far more interesting how the overall trend for all sports seems to be following the same downward pattern.

For me it harder than ever to watch live sports. Not paying for cable.
