    This is truly sad; the previous government left office due to corruption, and this one is headed down the same path. I fear this will only benefit the far right

      Well that’s not only sad persé, it’s just plain bad. It’s these kind of corrupt politics/politicians ( he’s not the only one) which erode trust in parties & democracy. Like you, I really hope that this doesn’t empower Vox in Spain.

      Did they though? There were plenty indications of them doing outright fraud, and no one is going to jail for it. PP did do corruption, but they didn’t leave because of it. Sadly.

      It’s maddening that now the second in command in PSOE was involved in this corruption case though, given that in general the current government is being pretty fucking amazing compared to the last one.
