      Sure but how can anyone possibly be informed about all the atrocities being committed for various products in a supermarket. There’s too many 😭

        Generally a good rule of thumb is: if the product is an animal, atrocities were committed. It’s not a perfect rule, there are some plant-based products that involve their own atrocities (coffee and chocolate and other tropical plants come to mind) but it’s a good shorthand. You simply can’t mass produce animal products at affordable prices without atrocities.

      The local population of shrimp has been devastated (but still harvested! At your local pseudobougie restaurant, only 18€ for 100g), compared to Ecuadorian shrimp, 10€ kg…I’m sure once the price get hiked because they’ve over farmed and wasted the environment that we’ll see less of a market (or another developing country starts the next cycle)
