    I mean, PET is relatively easy to recycle, isn’t it? You just need to collect it independently of all the other trash or be really good at sorting somehow.

      Plastic pollution is signicantly worse than aluminium. Especially, considering how aluminium is infinitely recyclable. PET plastics can only be recycled a few times. In addition, the shredding of plastics is a huge contributor to microplastics. Not only that, but a large portion of plastic for recycling gets shipped across the world to practically sit in a landfill. I will never, ever be on board with plastics.

      Even with aluminium, it’s Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Recycling is the last step. Plastics are our biggest offender and we need to reduce it to zero for single use plastics.
