Any argument that relies on AI not being good enough is bound to fail.
We use many, many technologies that objectively kinda suck : eg Reinforced concrete, which rarely lasts over 50 years.
Even if AI made technically perfect works, it would still be entirely unacceptable, at least in any artistic medium. Art with no person behind it isn’t art ; it has nothing to say, nothing to communicate, there is no story behind the choice of colours and the “brush strokes” are entirely fake (and equivalents in other mediums are equally meaningless).
