Ok so real quick rundown since Chuck Norris passed away back in March 2026, and yeah his legacy is honestly kind of a mixed bag once you look past the meme stuff.

The biggest thing people bring up is his stuff on LGBTQ+ issues. Dude spoke out against gay marriage and was not happy when the Boy Scouts lifted their ban on gay leaders and scouts back in 2012. He even wrote a column basically accusing a Boy Scouts board member of sucking up to the Obama administration and hinting Obama had some kind of “pro-gay agenda.” Yeah, that aged about how you’d expect and a lot of people called it straight up homophobic at the time. To be fair though, it seems like he mostly stopped being loud about this stuff in more recent years, so most of the receipts are from like the 2000s and 2010s.

Then there’s the political endorsements, which honestly raised more eyebrows. He endorsed Roy Moore for Senate, the guy who had multiple women accuse him of assaulting them when they were minors, and called him “tough” and someone who “puts principle over politics.” Norris was also just generally a hardcore conservative his whole life. Backed Huckabee in 08, then went all in for Trump starting in 2016 and never really wavered on that through 2020 and 2024. Funny enough in 2021 some photo of a Norris lookalike standing near a Jan 6 rioter went viral and people thought it was actually him at the Capitol. His team had to clarify it wasn’t him lol, and he even posted about it himself saying “it wasn’t me and I wasn’t there.”

More recently there was also this whole thing where Variety published a piece basically saying his action movie roles (the lone tough guy taking down “foreign threats” type plots) hit different in today’s political climate. That take did NOT go over well with conservatives, DeSantis straight up clapped back calling him a legend and slamming the article. Bottom line, nobody’s out here accusing the guy of crimes or anything like that. It’s basically all political opinions and comments that didn’t age great with some people, while plenty of others still see him as just a solid all american guy. Pretty normal “depends who you ask” situation honestly.

He was a trump and netanyahu supporter. It’s fair to point out he was a shitty person when people get excited about how badass he was.

Don’t waste your time. The guy is a troll and is just trying to stir up shit. Just look at his comment history. Not worth trying to rationally explain things to him

my responce makes more sense if you could see someone edit history, they were a lot more hostile before to someone simply not knowing something.
