I went to a festival alone once. It was one of the most enjoyable times I’ve had, and weirdly freeing for someone who is otherwise a chronic people-pleaser.
Even when I go to festivals with friends, we usually have slightly different priorities in who we want to see and end up separated anyway. Can catch up at breakfast time and get a report on how good the stuff that you couldn’t see was, which you can perfectly well do by speaking to randoms. Depends on the festival, of course - some are much more friendly than others.
