This is so fucking absurd, there is no one alive who could earnestly believe this. This obviously has some pretty dire domestic implications but I wouldn’t discount this move as also an attempt to manufacture some sort of casus belli, no matter how transparently artificial and ridiculous, to invade Cuba.
