The fact that the more "Realistic" a work about medieval Europe pretends to be the less likely you are to see actual medieval women's headwear is a kind of fun dynamic

How do children’s birthday parties have more authentic dress than expensive movies and chuddy “realistic” videogames?
Put hennins and escoffions in your work cowards.

Even as a gay man I can appreciate that people like boobas on wenches. I don’t even mind. I don’t even think most women mind.
But you gotta put in some ridiculous cod pieces too.

But more importantly i want hennins.

Does wearing two hennins in front, Madonna style, count?

You’re thinking of an escoffion, and an escoffion counts.

Edit: Or you’re thinking of a bisected/divided hennin which also obviously counts.

I looked up hennins and escoffions; you meant evil stepmother headwear!

Black Adder had some good codpieces. also Rowan Atkinson made waaaaaaay too much money and I imagine it gave him horrible politics

Real artists pay much more attention to headwear of commoners instead of nobles.

Witch Hat Atelier is not historical but it is replete with unisex hennins, though the non-mages are still often bare-headed

Proving my point. The less “realistic” the more likely you are to see medieval headwear
