I get like this with Victorian era period pieces most often, but yeah, glaring costuming inaccuracies in any “historical” work drive me utterly bonkers! There’s honest mistakes, sure, but intentional inaccuracy or plain old lack of effort/proper allocation of budget really grinds my gears. Hire people who know their stuff and (in TV/film) give the costume department the resources they need. And for god’s sake, stop using historical ladies’ underwear as a metaphor for oppression of women, it’s a lame overdone trope.
