I think you missed the part where I talked specifically about when the USA was founded. It’s frankly insulting to take from that that I meant that any of the shit they stuck with while Europe eventually moved on was remotely okay. The point is that the USA’s style of bullshit is very distinctly European, it’s just that the USA somehow got stuck in 18th century while the rest of Europe continued to renew itself.
